Some people have a legendary life full of adventure and accolades. One of these is Fridtjof Nansen, #Norwegian explorer, #scientist, and plankton pioneer. He intentionally froze the specially designed ship #Fram into the ice for 3 years to study #Arctic #oceanography (a whole story on that!), invented water samplers and a closing plankton net named for him, became a diplomat, and was awarded the #Nobel Peace Prize for refugee works post WWI.

The #Sweden Democrats, the "We're not a Nazi party just because we happen to have lots of Nazis" right-wing party immediately denounced it as a "woke" sop to vegetarians and other undesirables, and an affront to traditional Swedish values.

Apparently the "traditional Swedish values" party had no idea barley porridge is an iconic Swedish dish, and a staple food for over a millennium.

In een debat over integratie en samenhang was dan eindelijk het langverwachte moment dat de VVD staatssecretaris Nobel zich zelf moest verantwoorden voor de Kamer over zijn uitspraak dat een heel groot deel van de islamitische jongeren "onze" normen en waarden niet delen.

Ik kan er kort over gaan. Hij komt met allerlei smoesjes. Het bekende liedje, sorry dat mensen zich onterecht aangesproken voelden en zo bedoelde ik het niet.
