Got a few shots of the Doobie Others then headed home, encountering a shit ton of deer on the soccer field at the local high school. One of ‘em kinda got close for a bit and then headed for the road, crossing after a Buick went by.

I think things have just about peaked here in the yard. Get some reading in here on deck. It’s Friday and I have nowhere else to be.

It’s just about to the point where a consistent wind will just about take care of the leaves for the year. I do enjoy the way the sun reflects off them. It’s too bad it’s always for a relatively brief period of time each autumn.

“Public lands are amazing all year, but there’s something magnificent about the arrival of fall colors. As forests transition into reds, oranges and yellows, people head to their favorite spots to enjoy the healing power of nature and this gorgeous seasonal spectacle.” - U.S. Department of the Interior.
