This newly published investigation by the STANDARD, Spiegel, and the ZDF shows how the threat actor group Kimsuky spies on researchers (including those from the "Open Nuclear Network" based in Vienna and the Berlin Science and Politics Foundation (SWP) along with their #socialengineering tactics.
We know these campaigns have been happening for quite a while. Yet very often, researchers, scientists, or other key employees have not learned how to recognize social engineering attacks that are personalized, or how to identify elicitation techniques. On a more fundamental level, there is rarely an understanding of the value of information they have.
Critical personnel needs to receive more tailored, specific training and learn how to recognize and respond to these #socialengineering attack attempts.
So…Russia wants to commit suicide on its entire country if they don’t get to keep the parts of Ukraine they’ve taken?
To a certainty, using nuclear weapons would mean the end of Russia and most Russians.
