Two solid pieces of TV entertainment, from vastly different eras, but it doesn't really matter, they are both long gone. Both from days when today's political developments would have been unthinkable. Innocence.

For a few years now we've been watching the original Perry Mason series (1957-1966), about an episode per week. Half of the fun is going "Hey, is that so-and-so" at seeing an actor a few years before they became famous for something /we/ know.
Today's surprise (S5E14) is a fellow by the name of De Forest Kelley, about 5 years before his best known role

Have been watching HBO's fine Perry Mason series: season 2, set in 1932 LA. Hope Davis's millionaire oil heiress character, talking about how her people built this city & can make their own rules about how to rule it — she would already have been in her 20s when she doubtless walked down this rutted dirt track…that would become Sunset Boulevard.
