Bill Forsyth — „Local Hero“ (1983)

Ein Film aus einer anderen Zeit. Ein Märchen. Über einen Oligarchen, dem es noch genügt hat, die Sterne nur zu beobachten – statt Raketen zum Mars zu schicken. In Schottland. Vielleicht der schönste Film, den Sie dieses Jahr gesehen haben werden. Mit Sicherheit ein lebenslänglicher Lieblingsfilm. (ARD, Wh)

"Because I'm from Glasgow the swearing came very naturally. Sometimes a 'fucking' in the middle of a sentence can propel it forward with a new energy. But often I would swear because I couldn't remember my lines."

So, the first trailer for the new series of #BlackMirror is out and #PeterCapaldi rocks the madness.
Can't wait to see what new ideas the episodes have to offer and to be creeped out as well as fascinated by thought-provoking stories.
I know many haven't liked the latest installments but I found them still among the best binge-worthy stuff out there. And finally, my favourite actor joins the show. I really want to see what Peter brings to the role and series and who this weird character actually is.

Jenny Agutter, Alexei Sayle and Peter Capaldi in 'Drunk in Time,' Sayle's glorious spoof of The Time Tunnel.

Back in 1995, I saw this publicity photo in a TV Guide. As I am somewhat obsessed with The Time Tunnel, I wrote a desperate begging letter to the magazine asking, pretty please, if I might have the picture.

Note: The information card is actually on the back of the photo, but I thought I'd include it for posterity.
