Pink Floyd "Wish You Were Here" – 1975
A haunting tribute to absence, disillusionment, and the alienation of the music industry that blends progressive rock with atmospheric sound design. The opening track "Shine On You Crazy Diamond" pays homage to former bandmate Syd Barrett, whose ghost lingers throughout the album’s melancholic textures....
New #review today: "The Shows of Ours… Live is a set of five live recordings by #Caravan presented on 10 LPs, spanning from 1976 to 2001. Aside from noting the somewhat awkward wordplay of the title, most people are likely to think, “That’s a lot of live Caravan.” Yes, it certainly is. It adds up to a hair over seven hours altogether, and presents the dedicated fan of the band with many listening sessions of enjoyment." #ExposeOnline #ProgressiveRock #CanterburySound http://expose.org/index.php/articles/display/caravan-the-shows-of-ours-live-2.html
New #review today: "#Anubis has been producing albums of melodic, progressive-inflected rock since 2009’s 230503, and by my count The Unforgivable is their sixth original studio release. The word cinematic is often thrown about in relation to Anubis, and it seems appropriate. Sonically, you’ll hear aspects of Porcupine Tree, Muse, The Pineapple Thief, and The Mars Volta, with sections of atmospheric keyboards as well as heavy guitar riffs." #ExposeOnline #ProgressiveRock http://expose.org/index.php/articles/display/anubis-the-unforgivable-2.html
