The Canadien Government has made an ad for the coming election, and it’s surprisingly honest and informative.
If #markcarney wins this election it, will be because millions of progressive and centre right Canadians have lent him their votes as a compromise in a moment of national emergency. He has an incredible opportunity to show real leadership and reward the trust of Canadians by moving ahead with the citizens’ assembly on electoral reform. I'm not sure how #ProportionalRepresentation relates to the #WaPo's new editorial policy, but since I'm in favour of the former and against the latter Imma boost your toot.
#ProportionalRepresentation makes a huge difference - people’s votes actually count. In Canada’s system, the vast majority of votes are wasted, for example people in a riding that consistently votes overwhelmingly for one party.

You can use https://www.writetothem.com to find your MP by postcode and then send an email. Even a very brief email is enough, something like:
"I hope you will attend Thursday's debate on proportional representation in Westminster, and speak in favour."
You can add more if you want, of course. :)
Always blaming the voters. The fact is that a Republic in the American style produces a two-party system that is easily corrupted. Germany was forced to enact #proportionalrepresentation to prevent another Hitler gaining power. If the US keeps the same system, the same results will keep happening.
