#Asemic #Postcards from Fractured Futures ~ Past Perfect Paradoxicals

Today, I saw this tree withering the eyes of an eagle – flippantly flesh-flora forelock for the first time. Ornithology shows that old trees exist in the present tense – tinsel tonsil tingles tangle pantheistical propagandist’s purloined paranormal mythopoeic mackerel. In the early days of democracy, democracy was weakened by nationalism – the upper floors looked clean and modern as an albatross’ labyrinth and banana toupee. Historically, this was driven by religious differences and oranges.

Asemic Postcard 188 – the traveller in an antique future

A sign, a name, a garden, a city by the sea, quiet music, your crown, the only, pistachio pilgrim, soap stone souls, begotten Song of Heaven, knives of ice, mortal beings fly like birds. I want to call robins and bats, and go to the station. If someone brings red water, they leave it alone, eat the pig, and use it like mushrooms.

A postcard with a mixture of overlapping text, of different sizes and types. Much of the text is backwards or distorted. The overall effect is of a double exposure of print using different colours textures.

The blend of Leninist Agitprop and Lovecraftian inspired Occultism/Mysticism, seemed like an interesting jumping off point for some Dadaist messing about. The fact that this week, Eldritch Friday is also Black Friday, creates additional context to play with. The madness of rampant/rabid consumerism seems close to the madness of those who look too deeply into the abyss of cosmic horror. Is Agitprop that different from the fake news, advertising, and spam that crawls across the internet (The Hounds of Tindalos braying from non-Euclidean corners and curves)?

#DadaistJournal (Ridiculously Good Ideas) : Mark A/ed – a Dadaist Doodle Poem

This doodle word collage was done as a prompt exercise, before I decided to use the Ridiculously Good Ideas as a Dadaist Journal. I went back and decided to add asemic glyphs and cut-ups. This particular composition is an example of #DadaistDoodlePoetry.
All are welcome to try it for themselves. Just free associate words, and doodle away, then add whatever cut-ups you wish. There is no right or wrong, just experiment.

I don't qualify as an insider, when it comes to art, nor does my spot on the societal web hierarchy make me an outsider -  so this is neither outsider nor insider art. I guess it is "inbetweener" art  (one foot in the vestibule, the other on the sidewalk).

Along with the composition, I have included the text of the free association #ProsePoem stanza, in a layout that offers a possible reading.

The upper third of the page is a doodle of interconnected shapes and faces. There is a large asemic glyph written over part of the doodle. The words, Mark A/ed, are visible. Cur-ups of faces are placed over sections of the doodle. The centre is the prose poem stanza of free-associated words, with no punctuation. The bottom section of the page is a doodle of faces inter-linked into a distorted cube. Some of the faces are made-up of assemic glyphs. A large black glyph is written over part of the doodle. There is a small cut-up of a bare-chested man looking downwards at the glyph.
