Lovely sunset colors on the surface of the lake. I love these images that capture the colors of the sky in the moving mirror below.

I suspect this one won't catch many eyes. But the world would be a better place if folks would just sit and soak this sort of thing in for a few minutes.

Green Tranquility - Woke up to a flat and rainy morning, so re-visiting a shot from last weekend. Once again from Rice Lake, I had eyeballed this little outcropping over the winter. The addition of foliage (plus some lucky light) helped bring things together.

The dark clouds covering the sky parted for a moment, allowing the warm rays of the sun to pierce through and illuminate a serene winter scene. The mist hung delicately over the landscape, creating an ethereal atmosphere.
