I have managed to track down the various things that were preventing WPA3/SAE only Wifi networks working in Rocknix. Builds for the #retroid #rp5 and #rp5mini here. Still needs some cleanup and testing against our other targets to be sure I didn't introduce regressions. But this should be helpful if you, like me. Run wifi6/7 networks where wpa3 is mandatory. #RetroGaming #linux #rocknix filebin.net/k1aflktgu4f48vzm

Anyone using #rk3566 #RetroGaming #retrohandheld . I added btrfs support along with fixing ipv6 and new pmic driver for rk3566; automount and merged storage to #rocknix You'll likely want to create and populate the sdcard with btrfs with force-compress:zstd:5 on a beefy machine l. @glitch25 I'm about to get a #Retroid Pocket 3 Plus of my own soon.

It took me a while to realize I wanted one for Christmas, but it's going to arrive later, and Christmas is over. So I could've done better when it comes to timing. But still, I've read online that it's a very neat system that can run many retro systems very well, so I'm intrigued!

I'm also going to be looking at the setup guides to see what I have to do before I can truly start playing games on this system.

I picked up a #Retroid Pocket 3 Plus recently. It is an Android based handheld #RetroGaming device. Somewhere in the depths of my doom boxes is a PowKitty, but I was constantly fighting with it. Hence box.

The Pocket 3 Plus can play up to PSP2 though I understand PSP2 is kinda the limit and not all games play well. But being Android, it also means it plays Android games, and it also supports Moonlight, so there is that.

I ordered direct which allowed me to get the grip and the grip-friendly case, and I believe price wise I did better than trying to find a reseller here. DHL delivered pretty quickly.

Much like many of these, it does take a little setting up, and in the case of the Retroid, you need to provide your own ROMs. But setup isn't difficult.

This one has Wifi and also external microHDMI which is great. I can pump it into my den flatscreen and have a blast!

Online reviews are good. Lots of setup guides on YouTube.

Overall: Fun!

Anyone here use the #Retroid Pocket 2+?

I'm trying to find a good CRT shader for
#RetroArch to preserve transparency effects (like the waterfalls in Sonic 2) and dithering. The problem is, a lot of shaders that are lightweight enough (easymode, lottes-fast, etc.) don't seem to do the trick, the ones that work well (sonkun, royale) are too heavy for the hardware, and some that might be solid contenders are made for 1080p+ resolutions and create giant, goofy scanlines at 480p.

The
#handhelds are so easy with the lcd-v2-color shaders, but finding a good CRT shader for home console #emulation has been tough with this device.
