Garden Of the Gods II

The Garden Of The Gods is a beautiful geological area just outside of Colorado Springs, Colorado.
The Garden is a public park open to the public.
Many wild animals have been known to either visit the park and or have made the park their home including bear, mountain lions, deer, hawks, eagles and many more.

Garden Of the Gods II This is an image captured from the Garden of the Gods located just outside of Colorado Springs, Co. The foreground of this image is a grassy area. The right side border has a shorter evergreen tree, not sure of the species. As you look deeper into the image you can see more of these trees and some smaller bushes. The focal point of this image is a large, jagged rock formation that rises up what seems to be a couple of hundred feet. The sky is clear blue with just a dash of clouds in the upper right hand corner.

Rocks, rocks, and more rocks! This trail that I hiked last week began as mostly dirt with an occasional rock, transitioned to moderately steep solid rocks (as in pic below), then much steeper rocks before the "trail" was more like a "route" over solid rock slab. I love how #trees can grow out of cracks in boulders. Seems almost impossible. Check out this beauty-- passed it while #hiking last week on a mountain that was mostly #rock.
