Re: The tornado path in #StLouis Missouri so-called USA. #STL is a very racially segregated city, due to the history of chattel slavery during and post-Indigenous genocide and westward expansion of the settler state. These neighborhoods that the tornado hit are mostly Black and very materially neglected and deprived by the systems that exist. The area is largely out of internet access now, as well.

All that to say. These communities are in a lot of need right now. People are missing, hurt, and without shelter and food. Here are some opportunities for #directaid:

I wanted to share this with the people here in Missouri and the Metro East. This is the farm we buy our milk, eggs and 50-60% of our meat from. I'm not going to say buying food here will save you money but you will find a quality superior to most grocery stores. Penguin, our stray cat we took in, will only eat egg yolks from this farm. We've even tried other pasture raised eggs, she won't touch them.

Our trip to the beekeeping supply store was successful. Everything they sell is constructed locally by Mennonites and they're all super friendly and helpful so I enjoy going. I can ask as many questions as I want and they never seem to get tired of educating me. We got two slatted rack and two vented inner covers to help combat the heat and humidity we have here in Missouri. They still need paint.

I hope you all had a nice Hump Day and a great rest of your evening!

"A new crash report from Trailnet found that 23 pedestrians in the city and 36 in the county were killed last year. That’s a 187% increase for the city and 24% increase for the county. The report emphasized that many of the crashes in the region are isolated to certain roads including: Grand, Kingshighway, Broadway, Gravios, Lindbergh, Halls Ferry, Manchester and Big Bend."

#today hopefully the new tires will come, ordered from Tire Rack mounted, balanced & with new sensors, just have to bolt them on the Bolt and program the new sensors, and we're back in action and working tomorrow. Unfortunately I didn't get a route Fri, nor did I today, though obviously today turned out to be a good thing, so this week is going to be below income goal, might have to work the whole weekend if'n I can find work.

Public service announcement for my Missouri and Metro East friends. The Arnold Police Dept bought themselves a tricked out 2025 Ford Mustang in white with black cowl induction scoop on the hood. It's being used between Imperial Main St and Meramec Bottoms Rd on I-55 for interdictions.

It has no markings you can visibly see until you get really close to it making it impossible to spot as a cop car until it's too late.
