CliffI'm not sure if it's just me or not, though I don't think it is, but Apple messed up Shortcuts at least on the MacOS Tahoe Developer beta builds. Let me explain.I have a shortcut that does several things, including starting Apple Music and then starts playing a specific playlist with shuffle enabled. This worked up until the Tahoe update. Dan Morgan :ksu:I wanted to better track my workouts in a visual way using a calendar. I also didn’t want to use a dedicated app, so I settled on creating a new calendar in the stock Calendar app and a Shortcut that creates an entry using the details of my most recent workout. I could add more choices like ability to choose a date or particular workout but for now this works. It also prompts me to add my own details. Dan Morgan :ksu:Here’s a strange thing. IF I DO create a HomeKit Scene called “Morning” it works fine. The HomePods run the scene without confirmation, sound, anything. Just works. If I say hey Siri “Good Morning” (with no scene or Shortcut called “Good Morning”) it will run the “Morning” scene AND give me a little da-ding confirmation that it ran successfully. Dan Morgan :ksu:I have a pair of OG HomePods. I have tried unsuccessfully to create a SHORTCUT called “Good Morning”. In my EXTENSIVE testing I can’t make Siri (via HomePods) recognize that Shortcut. If I rename it to… “Wicked” or some other word it works. ferricoxideI'm weird: when I'm writing stuff like <a href="https://evil.social/tags/terraform" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#terraform</a> modules (I'll do similar when writing functions or other modular content-blocks in the different frameworks I use), I like to make sure that my files are organized alphabetically. Which is to say, if I have a bunch of <code>resource</code> (etc.) statements in my <code>*.tf</code> file, I want them to be ordered alphabetically. I've found that doing so makes it easier to know roughly where, in a (larger) file, a given chunk of content is going to be without having to use my editor's search-capabilty. A good way to test for this is: <pre><code>$ diff -y <( grep ^resource ) \ <( grep ^resource | sort )</code></pre> That said, usually before creating my <code>diff</code> statement, I construct my <code>grep</code> statement. Then I use <a href="https://evil.social/tags/bash" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#bash</a> command-history manipulation to construct my <code>diff</code> statement.
