I have spoken about snowdrops before. I like to visit places in the locality where they flourish in abundance. There is a great swathe of them in the old churchyard. This is a photograph taken in the last week of their annual appearance. They are about to leave the stage. Final bows. “They look much more demure than they actually are. Hardy and pushy, they might present as a tiny corps de ballet but each one is a headstrong principal dancer.”
