Testifying before a House Appropriations subcommittee on Wednesday, Hamilton had told lawmakers that “I do not believe it is in the best interests of the American people to eliminate” FEMA — a response to Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem’s remarks that “the president has indicated he wants to eliminate FEMA as it exists today.”

A search for the term “climate change” in the attached article returned zero results.

@Binder I’m making a single exception to buy nothing day today and having lunch with friends at the local Middle East restaurant that we used to descend on weekly when we all worked together. Most of us are in town and after 25 years they’re closing in a couple weeks because rent.
I’m sure it will get replaced by a chain or a “high concept” place by a wannabe celebrity chef, and keep flipping what it is every 2 or 3 years or so like almost everything around it. #thisisfine
