Maggie MaybeI was going to boycott Time Magazine but this article about people being put in psychiatric wards for having Long Covid or MECFS symptoms is worth reading.I cried for the woman in Massachusetts. That almost happened to me.When I came back east from LA in 2014 my PCP in NH threatened me with ECT if I continued to complain about fatigue. I was terrified & I immediately got a new doctor but it took forever to get the slander out of my medical records. I’m not exaggerating when I say it took years before I could think about how close I came to letting someone permanently destroy my life without having an anxiety attack about it. I can’t even imagine the amount of PEM that would follow ECT. I would never be able to get help at the hospital again for any kind of physical ailment that can’t be seen with tests.
