Epic Games, in their usual blunderbuss style, nuked the Epic Games Store, aka the Unreal Marketplace, to use Fab, a multi-platform video game tool vendor. This is where we get access to ALL OF THE TOOLS WE PURCHASED! Though, to be fair, many were given away in monthly 5-tool sets. Well, it ain't so fab.
In Linux, the way we got to THE GAMES WE PURCHASED was through a Lutris (a game launcher) program that ran the Epic Games Store. The latter no longer runs because of the switch to Fab. The API no longer works.
Neither does Fab. At least, from the Epic Games/Unreal Engine/internal method.
In Windows, they kept it and added a Fab tab. Apparently, it's useless, but I wouldn't know. I'm pissed-off with the Linux version.
In Linux, they've nuked the whole thing, apparently. Won't run. Can't update.
What planning. What an expression of concern for Linux developers. Or developers in general.
There is a Fab plugin for 5.4.4. I just looked at it. It does nothing. It's boilerplate.
So where are the tools I bought, Epic? I need one now. Where is it? How do I access it? Who in the %$(* decided to do this without finishing the plugin? Or even starting it?
Where are my tools? JFC you are operated like a gas station manned by disgruntled teenagers swiping lug nuts off of customers' cars.
