This ‘Elon leaving politics’ story is such bullshit. Another example of the media being stenographers instead of reporting. Musk is seeding this story in order to try to stem the hemorrhaging at Tesla. He’s already said that he will ‘have to’ remain involved with DOGE to stop the ‘massive fraud and waste’ he’s uncovered from coming ‘rushing back’ the second he leaves.

Stop repeating his lies.

I used to pride myself on being able to spot any Postmedia article by the headline alone. Now that Trudeau is leaving, it is less than 100% because Postmedia has to find things to write about other than "<fill in the blank> is Trudeau's fault" The bias is still there, but it is less pronounced.

Amanda Katz, who stepped down from her role on the Post’s Opinion team at the end of 2024, called the change “an absolute abandonment of the principles of accountability of the powerful, justice, democracy, human rights, and accurate information that previously animated the section in favor of a white male billionaire’s self-interested agenda.” #USPolitics #Bezos #WaPo #freedomOfThePress #USMedia #TechBros #Broligarchy

"Where should Missouri Democrats go from here?" _ Missouri Independent

A number of democratic socialist countries in Europe with universal health care, other great public services, higher standard of living, better quality of life, and longer life expectancy than the US have many excellent employment opportunities for people in various trades, disciplines, skills, or qualifications.

“Michael Pack was a terrible manager, an overzealous political hack who did not care about the law or mission of the agency. In other words, he is the template for the second term #Trump appointees. Pack went further than most in his efforts, and therefore offers a warning of what a second term would look like when the Trump administration is full of loyalists who act like Pack.” —Don Moynihan

Can We Still Govern? · Capturing State Media: Trump EditionBy Can We Still Govern?

Jake Tapper and Dana Bash are the two biggest pro-genocide supporters working in American news media right now.

They use their platform to spread lies and misinformation that enable the US-backed Israeli genocide.

They belong behind bars, and should be scorned and reviled by anyone with an ounce of human decency.

#USmedia--which are trustworthy and reliable

Very few.
One of them is The Economist.--Check the analysis column in the Harvard link.

Others are the The Atlantic, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Texas Observer, and The Guardian, as well as Foreign Affairs.

There are more, but these are the first that come to mind.

Mixed bags: The Hill and Newsweek.

True, however, it is worse: 👉giving fascists a platform to spread their agenda makes their lies more plausible and credible for their target groups. By repeating them, they become "mainstream"👈 for a big part of the population.
This is working in other countries, too (e. g. Front National, France, and AfD, Germany.)
Many of the US mainstream media are owned by egocentric, sympathetic billionaires wanting further tax cuts for the super rich, only makes things worse
