SMASHING PUMPKINS
Siamese Dream
2025 Europe 2xLP reissue
Red Smoke #vinyl

I still have my original 1993 pressing of this, and it still sounds great.
However, seeing that this is one of my all-time favorite rock albums PERIOD, I figured it would be good to have a secondary back up play copy.

I’m very pleased with how this sounds. It’s dead quiet, dynamic, and Jimmy’s drums sound phenomenal.

As an added bonus, they used the ORIGINAL cover for it, not those bullshit miscolored reflective covers that previous reissues of the first two albums used.

I will never get sick of listening to Siamese Dream, and I fully realize that it was lightning in a bottle, never to be repeated.
Now that Billy Corgan has entered dinosaur legacy mode, hosting podcasts, and making far inferior new music (some of it very bad), we’ll never hear the likes of THIS kind of album again.

🇫🇷 Cerrone "Supernature" – Remix by Joachim Garraud – 2001

A legendary disco anthem recharged for the 21st century. Garraud injects Cerrone’s classic with a sleek, club-ready energy while keeping the hypnotic pulse intact.
Plays at 45 rpm but sounds terrific at 33 until the singing begins... 😄 👍

Prove You Wrong
2025 Europe reissue
Ltd. Ed. Numbered 459 of 1500
Clear Red #vinyl

Finally got a copy of this for the library!

Prove You Wrong was many of the cassette tapes I pilfered from my older sister’s then-boyfriend’s collection.
I could never really decide what they were.
Thrash? Metal? Punk? Alternative? All of the above?
Who cared? All I knew was that WHATEVER they were, they were fucking awesome.
That was in 1991, and it started a deep love affair. From there, I went backwards to Force Fed and Beg To Differ, and when both Cleansing and Rude Awakening came out, I was first in line to get them.

Music On Vinyl has done a great job on these reissues. They sound great.

When this is done, Cleansing goes on next.

🇬🇧 The Cure "Seventeen Seconds" – 1980

Minimal, haunting and drenched in atmosphere. This album defined the early gothic edge of post-punk. Sparse guitars, icy synths and Robert Smith’s distant vocals create a soundscape both fragile and unsettling. A cornerstone in The Cure’s evolution and a timeless dark classic...

WILLIAM S. BURROUGHS
Break Through In Grey Room
2023 U.S. Ltd. Ed. Reissue
Clear vinyl
750 copies pressed

A weird one for last spin of the night.

Originally released in ‘86, a collection of Burroughs field recordings and rants that were part of his cut-up tape experimentation with Gysin and Sommerville.

It’s exactly what you think it is.

So I've been selling CDs on Discogs for a pretty long time now, but I just recently got around to listing a lot of vinyl, too. My first vinyl sale was one that I kind of hated to part with (Bobby Hebb - Sunny LP, 1966), but I hope I have a happy customer.

If you're interested in physical media, I hope you'll check out my little shop (link in profile).

Here's a fantastic live performance of Sunny for your viewing pleasure:
