(pls don't make fun of my code lol i'm still learning but i think i'm picking stuff up fast)
My employer, after 7 months of work, fired me overnight. Because I would be too "finicky" about code quality and security risks, which would better suit "a bank or cybersecurity company".
So I'm again #lookingForJob, either at #Montpellier (France) or #fullRemote. I am a #fullStack #developer with almost 10 years of experience on #php, #symfony, #html, #css, #javascript (#jquery and I'm also learning #vue). I am fluent in English, both written and spoken.
Drives me nuts how Vue uses for loops and how the v-for is not where you expect it to be. Traditionally, you will have a for statement wrapping the code that is iterated, but in Vue you have this silliness:
<parentContainer>
<childComponent v-for="item in items" />
</parentContainer>
Whyyyyyyyyyyy
Time for a new #introduction:
Hi, I'm Michael and I’m on a #jobsearch.
For the past ten years I’ve been a full stack #webDeveloper for a company in #Nashville that sells #prepping supplies.
They went from a startup to a well-established brand, then the economy started collapsing.
I love working with #vue and #nuxt, but I’m great with #react and pretty much any modern #js framework.
Open to #remoteWork in the US and local in-office work in the #nashvilleTN area.
I'm looking for a Senior #Frontend / Fullstack Engineer job!
I am...
- proficient with #JavaScript and #TypeScript, #Vue, TDD
- experienced with #React, GCP, Terraform
- enthusiastic about small details that greatly improve the user experience!
I'm looking for:
- a highly collaborative environment between engineering team, product, other stakeholders
- a UK / EU-based remote-first company
- ability to learn and grow
no crypto, web3, big oil, gambling
boost appreciated!
A lot of trouble with the new #Vue #LSP.
First, it disables all other typescript LSPs, even if there is no Vue in the project; fortunately, this can be fixed with:
(setq lsp-volar-take-over-mode nil)
Maybe a better way would be to advise `lsp-volar--activate-p' to detect Vue by parsing package.json.
Second, somehow the server sends empty "textDocument/publishDiagnostics" messages about a second after sending one with diagnostics! As a result, the diagnostics appear for a second and then disappear.
For now, I've worked around that by advising `lsp--on-diagnostics' to ignore empty messages if they come less than five seconds after a non-empty one. Not sure where to go next with this.
The code: https://sqrtminusone.xyz/configs/emacs/#fix-vue-semantic-server
Finally, the server sometimes crashes randomly. It happened once or twice today.
Someone here has experience with vue-i18n ? I inheritered a codebase that I need to update but I can't figure out an import error I have with vue-i18n

https://ethiciel.org/blog.html#premier-hackathon
#TypeScript/ #Vue devs: I have this generic component using defineModel(). Now, I want to make the type conditional:
– if props.multiple, return T[] | undefined
– else, return T | undefined
How would you approach this?
I usually don't like front end, but using #Vue and #TailwindCss is being an absolute blast, i don't think i had such fun with front end code since copying wix designs for college.
And having #NuxtJs SSG is definitely a plus
My employer is looking for a Staff Engineeer (PHP & Vue.js) in Berlin.
https://boards.greenhouse.io/clark71/jobs/7782973002
(You might or might not work with me in the future)
Edit: For now local only; you have to be/move to Berlin.
Really glad I'm not responsible for recruiting for the open role we have at the moment. Seeing the amount of AI generated bullshit being submitted as CVs & cover letters is just confirming all my worst fears about this stuff.
If you are a real human Frontend JavaScript Engineer with strong Vue skills drop reply here & I'll DM you a link to the job. I'm not going to post it directly because I want to spare the hiring manager having to dig through yet more trash.
Hi I'm looking to #connect with people who are interest in
#PHP
#Laravel
#JavaScript
#Vue
#Linux
#Freelancing

Just a rhetorical question: Is there an easy way to migrate a university website from #EpiServer to a more modern stack? I’m considering several decoupled solutions. #WebDevelopment #Jamstack #DecoupledArchitecture #ModernWeb #EpiServer #HeadlessCMS #DevOps #WebDev #React #Vue #Next #Nuxt #Strapi #Contentful #Prismic
You can use hash mode with Vue-router on a GitHub Page site, but it hurts SEO and seems to break Webmentions. History mode fixes Webmentions and the SEO issues but doesn’t work on GitHub Pages. There might be a hack using a 404.html page, but I’d hate to resort to a hack.

#Introduction I’m Jev, a #frontend #developer & #dad, navigating life while fighting #cancer. I work with #React, #Vue, #Next, #Nuxt. Slowly diving into #iOS #development. Outside of code, I’m often out exploring in my #campervan or tackling mountain biking trails with my buddy #bordercollie. I’m also a big fan of #analog past, from snapping moments on #film to diving into my collection of #retro #games. Excited to connect and share the journey with you all!
