Crews could be heard over the radio leaving an accident on Highway 54 to head towards the Mayhill-adjacent fire.</p><p>The Otero County Electric Cooperative (OCEC) reported dozens of outages affecting thousands of customers from Timberon to Carrizozo. Becoming Human Again, Maybe<p>My son goes to UCLA. He’s scarily close to where the fires are. He’s safe but it’s nerve wracking for us to watch from afar. </p><p>I installed the <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/watchduty" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>watchduty</span></a> app to have a better sense of what’s going on, as the MSM renderings are poor approximations. I’m very impressed with the UX of the app. It conveys a lot of information but does it well. This is a startup but they are also a non-profit. </p><p>These are the right tools.
