Looking through a wetland area with dense willow growth from a couple to a handful of metres tall.The stems are mostly thin and reddish to dark in the cloudy late afternoon light. To each side are much taller mixed wodds with bare poplars and dark spruce. Through the centre above the willows we can see the sky with swirling clouds from white to mid grey and a patch of blue above the horizon.

Looking across a snowy pasture over the edge of a dugout (man-made cattle watering hole) in we just see the blue shadow marking its edge. Farther back to the right cattle tracks are fresher with churned snow and a line of dark earth showing through. To the left several sections of wind fence made of upright weathered grey boards. Beyond that we see an area of low dark willows that extends all the way across the image. Beyond is higher ground with another snowy pasture with a wood of bare poplars from left to just right of centre. The wind is blowing snow along this ground seeming to blend with a band of very active looking low clouds right along horizon- swirling, blending, blowing, probably carrying snow flurries. Blue sky can be seen above that.
