does anyone have experience with wikidata? More specifically, i'd like to link the movies who were released on vodo, and preferably also link the torrent hashes and archive.org uploads if that makes sense in wikidata land.

To give an example;

This is the wikidata entry for Vodo https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q7907371

Several movies and series were released under it. One of them is the (short, but very good) series Pioneer One, which has a wikidata entry https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q639740

I'd like to link it so people know it was released on Vodo. preferably, i would also link the vodo webpage for pioneer one, https://web.archive.org/web/20130128184717/http://vodo.net/pioneerone

vodo did their releases through torrents, so i'd also like to add the torrent hashes (and maybe also name) if possible. in case of pioneer one, there were several. for example, the first episode was released in different qualities. Pioneer.One.S01E01.REDUX.720p.x264-VODO is torrent hash 12a96320485b3653a4ca5b6c8e15a88d7c513959, while Pioneer.One.S01E01.REDUX.iPhone.Android.x264-VODO was torrent hash 32fe21674bdd0154913e918820a07633774dee51. but there's also torrents for the entire series, e.g. Pioneer.One.SEASON1.720p.x264-VODO with hash 3a4be1d48c31dfa62bf52958f3fdca3d5ce91cf1, and Pioneer.One.SEASON1.Xvid-VODO with hash ad3e0c091c95c8a2a0d7df9da519e1f818a6c577.

Several of these torrents are uploaded to archive.org, https://archive.org/details/pioneer.one.season1.720p.x264-vodo so, if possible, i'd like to link that as well.

Does anyone have any idea how to best do this? Or even just a part of what i'm trying to do here?

@paul it’s not that surprising. Popculture is really fleeting. If you look at wikipedia, most popculture that is documented was either so huge in the past that it lives on today, or simply happened in the last 24 years of wikipedia’s existence.

What IS surprising is that there isnt even a wikidata entry for it

There’s a new #OpenStreetMap website feature related to #Wikidata!

When viewing objects in OSM that have a Wikidata tag, you can now click the Wikidata icon to turn the opaque QID values into human-readable info (plus a link to Wikipedia if any).

github.com/openstreetmap/opens

This integrates the functionality that @ZeLonewolf’s browser extension provided directly into the OSM website.

The summer term at @IBI_HU ends with a highlight:

In our course Informationsproduktion und -management, students worked with real-world @wikidata entries on #OpenAccess journals from the Museum für Naturkunde Berlin to increase the visibility of biodiversity research, open and data-driven.
