I made a few changes to my website – added new images, adjusted some text, changed the header, etc.
It's a work in progress. I'm not very techy and am open to feedback if anything doesn't work or looks off to you:

7.1.0 — Polishing Tables
This release introduces a redesigned Followers table that’s easier to navigate and customize—hide columns, change how many entries you see, or remove followers directly. Migrations are now simpler: just paste in a WebFinger ID or profile URL, and the plugin takes care of the rest. We’ve also fixed an issue where old, unfederated posts could be mistakenly re-sent—those will now stay quiet unless they’re recent. Plus, lots of behind-the-scenes improvements for a smoother experience.

People from fediverse and #WordPress, is it possible (or recommended) to cache requests to /wp-json/activitypub/1.0/actors/1/inbox when using the AP plugin? /cc @pfefferle
There’s some really exciting stuff in the pipeline for the #WordPress #ActivityPub integration. A big one is proper following support directly from the integration itself.
I’m hopeful that maybe this means I won’t have to rely on the Friends plugin for handling following soon? Friends is by no means bad, but native functionality makes things so much easier to test.

What's interesting is that the same bots hit the same WP commercial sites (not honeypots) at least 3-4 times a month, with the same usernames and PWs attempted. Typically about 100-200 times when they hit, rolling across numerous VPSs/VPN connections (which are blocked for 2 days at a time). Do they really expect it to "eventually work"? Or is it a distraction against other attempts in my HP world? It's been going on for about a year now. #cybersecurity #honeypot #hacking #infosec #wordpress
#Wordpress advice.
I am looking for a theme which uses lots of css (can be scss) imports for various parts of the application.
Basically I want to inherit css just for page and blog layout if they exists but not global styles (html, body, navigation, footer etc).
Of course I will also try and research this.
The current theme I have is twentytwentyfive
It has a ton of json
files as well as a theme.json
and I have no idea how these are configured (I mean I get the concept like styled components but I am not sure how WP builds the css from these json files).
@mcc feeling you so much. And yes, partially for that reason, I switched my online presence to static sites, either maintained by hand or via static site generators. Even though i knew PHP by heart, i don't want to maintain wordpress code.
And regarding time to fix things: my mastodon server was down for some days now, since i could not spare the (uninterrupted) 5 minutes it took to fix it. #selfhosting #pain #wordpress
A small teaser of what we are currently working on :)
It appears that #Wordpress automagically capitalises my site name in the title tag...but not when I'm on the admin pages. Anyone know an easy way to change it back to lower case? It's shitting me.
EDIT: Fixed.
