Do your characters have bread? What kind is typical for them? That is the problem with translated words. If I used the term "bread" in my story it would mean almost anything made from wheat flour, including pastaries, buns, and what we call bread. It's why I sometime use the native Japanese words.But yes my characters have bread: Milk bread, buns, melonpan, etc.
