MakerTubeMore Fun Making ItJoin me as I fumble around the innards of 40-year-old tech. Relax, put your feet up and watch me build and fix stuff.

betsyandsamantha now has a home on #youtube. All completed longplay content on #twitch has been moved to there, and as we complete games, they'll be downloaded and added.

Games are organised by playlist for ease.

I may consider adding to Peertube in the future.

There's content here from #infocom #atarist, #zxspectrum, #macintosh classic and modern #adventuregames.

I'm also working on a write-up detailing my video and audio capture setup.

Just found out about a 2009 TV film on retro computing called "Micro Men". It's a sort of comedy-drama about UK computer manufacturers in the 1980s, done on a tiny budget by mixing in archive footage. It works really well!

There's also a video of some of the real people depicted watching it and commenting on the authenticity:

There will be an online Jam with three anonymous ZX Spectrum Jammers joining at Lovebyte 2025.

The event will last about an hour, offering a unique, nostalgic experience. The participants will be using Bazematic, a browser-based ZX Spectrum live-coding environment.

The anonymity of the jammers adds an element of mystery, allowing the focus to be purely on the creativity and skill displayed.
