Pretty sure Woody’s recordings are mostly over on Smithsonian/Folkways,(for now)
Some at the Library of Congress issued by Electra/Rounder in the 90s and are streaming but the extensive notes are missing 
#Folkways keeps the old Arhoolie Records albums available — including tons of #zydeco #conjunto & #cajun #accordion because unlike the rest of the US folk revival, Austrian-born Chris Strachwitz was not afraid of the squeezebox
The Arhoolie Foundation got an email saying a $200,000 matching grant was cut because their work saving old recordings “no longer serves the interest of the United States”
I know they want to end Medicaid and Social Security to give tax transfers to #billionaires
But it’s ironic that politicians creating the latest economic crash stop funding to preserve records made during the Great Depression

Finished typing up all 274 newspaper references I found to a German accordion player, travelling around Scotland between 1852 and 1903, giving performances, and offering local tuning and repair services for accordions and related instruments. He was still travelling in the north of Scotland just a few months before he died in 1903. Next step: analyse the data and write it up as an academic journal paper.
