And for the other unfinished projects candidates, there are more! Cross stitches x 2, lots of unfinished art things, and a pile of sewing, mending and resizing (not pictured, ‘cos the in progress bits and pieces are underwear 😅).

The cross stitch and sashiko don’t play nicely with arthritic fingers, and the painting is always procrastinated on because learning new tools, mediums and techniques is daunting.

I have ideas for my illustrated character and Inktober, so I will get back to it soon.

Mums bedroom wall was a great expanse of ugly bricks, painted off-white. She hated it, hung a curtain over it, but that was a dust gatherer and not great to have near her head while she slept. So when she had a short stay in hospital, I painted her a mural. Beech tree forest sunrise. It was going to get more detail - underbrush and grasses etc, but I ran out of time and she loves it so much like this, now she doesn't want me to change anything.
