Adobe Illustrator's "I will not let you deselect an object that's hidden under any circumstances unless you re-show it or its parent layers and explicitly remove it from the selection but I will happily move it around secretly without visual feedback while it's still hidden as you manipulate other objects" is the most baffling UX choice I've ever seen in any application in history
Illustrator has this incredible... thing... going on where you can't easily select anything, can't easily deselect anything, can't move selected objects but can move hidden selected objects and it's... I don't know how you let your application get like this
how does this company have a 150 billion dollar market cap
