And with regard to the spreadsheet: I have now tried presenting my data (from Google Sheets) in #Airtable or #Grist (because both look pretty), but both don't sync with the sourca data.
Next I tried connecting #Sheets to #DataTables (because that's open and also pretty), but that doesn't work either.
Now I'm trying to visualize my raw data with #DataTables, but that's still difficult. I need a no-code solution and really, #Google is so useful, although many here don't like to hear it.

Ran into folders vs graph problem in #Obsidian again, while weaning off #Airtable; which rn means #tea + #whiskey.

The issue’s worst w/ 'containers’ like distilleries, whose relations have homogenous names (eg, most distilleries have a whiskey known as “$distiller 12yo”).

Folders + DataView? neat n tidy, but the graph doesn't see the connections & central object note location is awkward.

Prefixes + MOCs or properties? graph-friendly but data-entry intensive & works worse w/ fuzzy-finder.

I have been a fan of #Airtable, sung its praises for how great the UI is, how easy to use…
but every option to download or print my tables is gone. The dropdown arrow to print or export every tutorial says exists…does not exist. At least not on their iPad app. Absolutely infuriating waste of my time. It’s utterly useless. WTAF. Anyone else use Airtable? On iPad?
It shouldn’t be this hard to access your own content but every enshittified company is doing this. They are thieves.

Hello #Airtable users! Are you in the mood to help today? (I'm happy to pay! (though I think this'll take ~5 minutes for someone who knows formulas and Airtable)).

This project is for a progressive Lutheran environmental organization (ELCA) that's working with churches to address the climate crisis.

I am trying to create a formula that will display only fields that have contents in them. That is, if a field is empty, it won't be displayed. (cont-)

Getting reasonably deep in the #Obsidian #DataView #JavaScript weeds. Very big “treating flat files as a database” vibes, because that's literally what's going on.

I /kinda/ dig it, since DataView means I’m just arranging inline fields in my prose documents as desired, vs being tightly constrained within a literal database or spreadsheet (or #Airtable). In the latter setup I would have to cram all the non-field Markdown content into a "notes" field or whatever.

I'm looking for someone to help me with an #Airtable base I've created. I have tasks that have a % field to show progress toward completion, I'd like to have that pull from another table in the base to tally the % of progress based on the # of subtasks completed. I feel pretty sure this would be relatively easy to do for someone who knows Airtable well. I can pay someone (not much!) for help with this.

Stayed up very late last night continuing work on my development branch of the {rairtable} package github.com/elipousson/rairtabl

It is honestly going to be so sweet when I get this merged back and up on CRAN. The packages is nearing full coverage of the non-Enterprise API and is IMHO so easy to work with. #RStats #Airtable

I'm hoping to make a template via #Airtable that could be a fun way to share with nearby friends/family. It would equip us to cut duplicate streaming services and watch things together more. Stay tuned!

Dear #airtable and #rstats users.

What R package do y'all use to interact with airtable through R? In particular, I am interested in authenticating in a CI setting.

Been using github.com/bergant/airtabler which is nice in an interactive session, but setting the token securely in CI is.... not working for me.

If anyone has examples or ideas, I am ALL ears 👂

I've been so used to having a for-profit algorithm putting random social media posts in front of my face that it's an adjustment here w/ Mastodon. In any case I want to share this screenshot of a #news /info list I've been working on for years. It is a bit apples-and-oranges but I hope it will inspire some of you to have a more intentional media plan if that helps. Should I upload back to #Airtable or Google Sheets for community editing? Who wants to collab?
