Lee Petersen<p>While camping near Polychrome Pass in early May, I watched this young Dall sheep square off with two Gyrfalcons on a bluff. They held their ground. SilverSalmonAK<p>6:00AM: 38F, overcast. </p><p>I saw the barest blush of pink between the mountains when I got up at 5, but it disappeared into gray by 5:30. </p><p>The clouds will be clearing today, though, so the sun lovers will have their rays. </p><p>The chance of rain happens after 4, when I usually take a walk, but I'll brave a sprinkle or two. I just get clouds for my return. Sigh.</p><p>3. We were at the Juneau airport last night when the power went out...and their "backup" generator failed to kick in.</p><p>4. The upshot: 2 hour delay, we got in at 12:30AM.</p><p>5. I'M VERY TIRED!
