Le Mont Séti s'était mis en tête de décomposer la lumière. Il lui semblait bien qu'il manquait un truc, mais personne ne lui avait dit qu'un prisme noir ne laisserait pas passer grand chose.

Today I'm enjoying an evening NOT doing coding until I go to bed - but just thinking about a couple of beautiful hikes we did last autumn which is also a bit relaxing.

I haven't checked the weather forecast for the weekend yet but - let's see. Let's keep fingers crossed that I'll also be able to capture some photos or videos.

(Actually, I'd be keen on trying some videos with transcription :-D)

The Tatzelwurm ("paw worm") is a mythical creature said to live in the #Alps (the image, however, is based on an alleged encounter in Sicily in 1954)

Reports about this creature go back to the 1920s and vary

Sometimes simply described as a small snake with paws

Also reported as a bizarre hybrid of a #cat / wildcat and a huge snake like an anaconda, strong enough to attack mature pigs

The Tatzelwurm is basically the #Bigfoot of the Alps and part of Bavarian and Austrian #folklore

Another "Interrailing through Switzerland" post: a long trip awaited me on Friday: I took the Glacier Express from Zermatt via Brig, Andermatt, Disentis/Mustér and Chur to Tiefencastel, changed to regional trains and ended up in Davos where I stayed for another two nights.

The ride on the Glacier Express was comfy and often scenic, but sadly the fog around the Oberalppass prevented me from taking pictures.

At Davos I tried cross-country skiing, which I havent't done since being a small child. After roughly 10 kilometers I felt my aching muscles but had lots of fun!
Of course there was also time for some winter hiking.

I took this #photo a couple of years ago on a hike that went right on the border between #germany and #austria . When I'm looking at my photos ... I think ... I'd like to do this hike again 🤔

It was quite some up and down but I have very fond memories .. And I think, my #photography has really improved since then.
