#AusPost postie just arrived with a parcel at the front door. Called me by my first name (it's not his first visit recently). Not sure at first whether to be offended at the familiarity, but then decided I liked it.
#AusPost just delivered a parcel to my door at the time and day they said they would. Postie even knocked in the door and gave me a salute when leaving.
Not sure what everyone is complaining about.

@keithzg @timrichards @mpjgregoire i can't tell whether the OP is being ironic but its sure sounds like he isn't... Australia Post is most definately privatised, contrary to what the OP suggests.
Oh and its website is basically mitm attacked by amazon cloudfront, lol... the encryption is done in the usa and amazon sees EVERYTHING you do on #auspost (EDIT .com.au)
You can check this yourself, just try to access the site with a privacy-respecting browser like #TorBrowser, be sure to use safest mode.

Speculation follows:
Australia Post may be using contractors, who use sub-contractors who may use subcontractors who get paid, not for their time, but per delivery. Or per load.
Which would bias heavily towards the trashy kind of service that you describe.
Anyone from #AusPost, or with knowledge of how #AustraliaPost manages #ParcelDelivery, in the house?

The #auspost saga continues. I ordered some oil from Northern NSW yesterday. It will be delivered (Logan QLD) today.
Meanwhile, the laptop being shipped from about 20 minutes up the road is still showing as 'Ready for Processing' in the Aus Post system.

@frogglin AusPost were showing me an ad to treat mum from one of their bargains. Which was an electrical extension cord.
Second on their list was a Carwash Cannon.
Tell you what though, she won't be expecting those!
