Mural Hunters - Łowcy Murali"Send a Postcard to Grandma" by Good Looking Studio in Białystok, Poland -- Dostaliśmy zdjęcie odnowionego muralu "Wyślij pocztówkę dla babci" i postanowiliśmy go porównać z wersją sprzed lat (po lewej). Stworzono ją w ramach festiwalu Up To Date w 2019 r., ale po dwóch latach w wyniku prac remontowych budynku usunięto. WillHelmIm Osten von <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/Białystok?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Białystok</a> sind die Überreste vom letzten aktiven juedischen Friedhof. Dieser wurde 1890 in betrieb genommen und umfasst(e) ca. 30.000 Gräber. Mit dem Einmarsch der Wehrmacht wurde der Friedhof geschändet und die Gräber zerstört. Nach dem Krieg bediente sich zum Teil der anliegende katholische Friedhof der Grabsteine, löschte halbherzig die alte Inschrift und gravierte auf der Rueckseite dann eigene Texte ein. Seit den 2000er sind diverse Gruppen dabei den Friedhof wieder zu restaurieren, sie Graben die Steine aus und stellen sie möglichst wieder auf. Zum Teil wird auch die goldene Inschrift wieder hergestellt. Als wir vor Ort waren, war gerade eine Amerikanische Gruppe vor Ort und stellte in zwei Wochen um die 200 Grabsteine wieder auf. Am 22.9.1939 wurde die Stadt im Zuge des sog. Hitler-Stalin-Paktes an die Sowjetunion uebergeben und die Pluenderungen und Ermordungen an der juedischen Bevölkerung nahm erstmals ein Ende. Das hielt bis zum 22. Juni 1941, bis zum Überfall der Deutschen auf die Sowjetunion. Am 27. Juni '41 Zog die Wehrmacht mit einem Polizei Bataillon aus <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/Köln?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Köln</a> in die Stadt ein und verhaftete mehrere hundert Juden. 800 von ihnen sperrte das <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/PolizeiBataillon309?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#PolizeiBataillon309</a> in die große <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/Synagoge?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Synagoge</a> und stecke sie in Brand. Ca. 1700 weitere Juden wurden an diesem Tag erschossen. Das Bild Zeigt den ehemaligen Standort der Synagoge. Der organisierte <a href="https://links.potsda.mn/tags/Untergrund" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Untergrund</a> griff zu den Waffen und versuchte die Liquidierung des Ghettos mit allen Mitteln zu verhindern.Zum Jahrestag gibt es eine Gedenkreise, an der ich teilnehme.
