Solarbird :flag_cascadia:<p>check this out:</p><p>Cyclists DO NOT WANT TO CROSS 99 at 212th. They REALLY don't. I checked some heat maps; it's VERY clear.</p><p>They want to go half a mile or more out of their way and cross at 208th, or a mile and a half via 228th.</p><p>Not wanting to cross 99 at 220th makes sense on the map. 220th interacts with I-5 in ugly ways not much further east. That's fine.</p><p>But 212th doesn't. There's infrastructure on either side of 99, albeit short a couple of blocks. And _people use that infrastructure_.</p><p>But they _don't_ leave it. And they _don't_ cross 99 there.</p><p>And I can't for the life of me tell you why from looking at maps.</p><p>They know something, though.</p><p>I wonder what.</p><p><a href="https://mastodon.murkworks.net/tags/biking" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>biking</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.murkworks.net/tags/bicycling" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>bicycling</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.murkworks.net/tags/edmonds" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>edmonds</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.murkworks.net/tags/lynnwood" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>lynnwood</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.murkworks.net/tags/highway99" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>highway99</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.murkworks.net/tags/seattle" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>seattle</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.murkworks.net/tags/SnohomishCounty" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>SnohomishCounty</span></a></p>
