When is a blog not a blog?
When it’s a page!
There are occasions when it’s great to get something written down online; something you can share with others, perhaps via email or social media.
Blogs are great for that, but what about something random — a post/comment/opinion that has no connection to your blog, or you want to keep it separate from your usual articles. Perhaps you don't have a blog but need somewhere to occasionally publish.
I’ve created just such a tool. It’s simply a blank page and you type whatever you want. Save it; share it. No login, No verification. No hassle. You’re not asked for any personal details to get published.
It’s not discoverable in any list of pages, so it's relatively private.
Extras
Optionally you can add a password, which means you have the ability to edit the page in the future.
You can also show the created date, and/or last updated date.
Write in markdown if you wish
What’s it called?
Verba Mea — verbamea.com
Roughly translated as My Words in Latin.
You can also use it as justWords.page if you prefer. Both web addresses are interchangeable, but I think VerbaMea is more snappy.
Who did this?
Me! I’ve had the idea for years, brewing in my head of many thoughts . I even coded it some years ago. In the last few weeks I had a need for such a service, so I dusted it down, tidied up the edges, and made it live for everyone to enjoy. I’ve had the name for years in my head too.
Oh, and Me is David - Forking Mad. You will find me around the internet, via my Forking Mad blog, or as @daj being sociable and chatty on the Fediverse.
And Go
What’s stopping you. Get writing and sharing your thoughts on anything, with anyone you wish.
Bookmark it for later use.
