@charlotteclymer Welcome to that Brexit feeling #brexit a modern Zeitgeist
The EU, China, Japan, Canada, Mexico, Vietnam and others, all hit back or at least done something. I defy you to find any semblance of meaning in this from Starmer. Any iota of an inkling of a plan. One sentence or even two words strung together that aren’t complete and utter political speak bullshit. The man utters a thousands words and never do they mean anything. Absolutely full of shit and I voted for him for context #brexit #politics #ukpolitics #bbc #news #EU #Labour #keirstarmer #Starmer #labourparty #RejoinEU #conservatives #rachelreeves #austerity #tariffs #tradewar #trade
@ChrisMayLA6 #Brexit was the biggest foreign policy mistake this backward country has made in my lifetime.
If Starmer can't see or acknowledge that, he's not fit to sit in parliament, let alone occupy a tied cottage in Downing Street.
(a) You couldn't make a better argument for diversifying your business away from the USA if you tried.
(b) I am _so_ glad Germany has the #EuropeanUnion as a whole to negotiate for us. Individually the EU nations wouldn't stand a chance - but together they are a force to be reckoned with. As the #Brexit negotiations showed.

The "All American Made iPhone" reminds me of the time somebody tried to make a toaster from scratch, including mining and smelting the ore....but then Trump has the mind of a child so isn't going to understand supply routes and globalisation like the Brexitiers didn't
Visiting Arromanches, aka Gold beach in #normandy main site of the British forces #DDay landings in #WW2
When the #USA stood with the allied forces in the fight against facsism.
Today I am proud of those who fought for freedom, sad for those who died, and those who suffered.
Also sad about #brexit and the situation in the USA today.
We are stronger together.
I was just thinking what the hell sort of mad-ass country would be so stupid as to effectively voluntarily impose massive trade #sanctions on itself, seriously harming both the economic and social life of its society and making itself a pariah among nations hitherto considered friends and allies...
...and now I'm not sure if I'm talking about #Trump or #Brexit.
@clive Ah, #dejavu #trumpregime #tradepolicy
How often have we read explanations during the #brexit years from business people, e.g. trying to explain to the #Brexit Taliban that there are good reasons why some car parts crossed the channel a dozen time during manufacturing (Hint: certain specialised processing steps were only available in some hubs in Europe, and it makes zero economic sense to replicate them in the UK, not enough UK only business).
"UK's Starmer vows to cut trade barriers with key partners"
Quite the claim from such a committed Brexiteer.
How can the UK be smart enough to know how stupid it was for the United States to elect Donald Trump again, and yet not seem to know that Brexit was obviously the UK’s “Elect Donald Trump Again” massively stupid self-inflicted-wound moment?
Or is it just the politicians that don’t get that? #Brexit

@aral a bummer for them that they ripped themselves off of a bigger economic block.
Femi bringing the receipts
I don't know what she brought, but i don't like
it.
Brexiteers weird take on punishing the UK Government
#Starmer decides to use #Trump induced #tariff chaos as an excuse to row back on EV targets for 2030 and slash planning regs (aka environmental protections) while his ministers claim they’ve unearthed A #Brexit bonus - we’re still being kicked in the nuts, but not poked in the eye at the same time like the EU.
My hopes were low, but they’ve just gone through the floor
