pafurijaz<p>The best way for making primary surfaces in <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Plasticity3D" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Plasticity3D</span></a> is the Square command from XNurbs. This allows control over the CVs of the patches and enables clean, straightforward modeling. Remy RoseA patron asked our makerspace to design and CNC mill a replica of the Gemeente-Energiebedrijf sign found all over Amsterdam. They brought us a screenshot of a stock photo and some 6mm thick aluminum to cut it out from. Here's a first rough draft, CAD/CAM in <a href="https://pxlmo.com/discover/tags/FreeCAD?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#FreeCAD</a> and milled in a <a href="https://pxlmo.com/discover/tags/Snapmaker?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Snapmaker</a> Artisan. I'm a novice at this stuff, you can probably tell from the results lol, but the next one will (hopefully) be better! <br> <br> <a href="https://pxlmo.com/discover/tags/CAD?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#CAD</a> <a href="https://pxlmo.com/discover/tags/cncmilling?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#cncmilling</a> <a href="https://pxlmo.com/discover/tags/library?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#library</a> <a href="https://pxlmo.com/discover/tags/makerspace?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#makerspace</a>

WildRikku<p>Finally starting to get the hang of Fusion 360. Designed one part, modified a second one and succesfully joined them. Printing now.<br>Apart from the permanent frustration caused by me not knowing how to CAD, I actually like working with Fusion.
