Yvan<p>I've run my own mailserver for over 15 years without a gap, it's just in the 10 or so years of running the business my world started to ever-more revolve around Google so my own domains/etc fell by the wayside. So I do already have a sound <a href="https://toot.ale.gd/tags/postfix" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>postfix</span></a> setup running, and we <a href="https://toot.ale.gd/tags/procmail" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>procmail</span></a> at user-level to sort our various emails/domains into a Maildir structure... procmail is where we used to invoke <a href="https://toot.ale.gd/tags/spamassasin" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>spamassasin</span></a> and <a href="https://toot.ale.gd/tags/clamav" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>clamav</span></a> from IIRC.</p>
AndrewR<p>My current line of thinking on <a href="https://bne.social/tags/antivirus" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>antivirus</span></a> for <a href="https://bne.social/tags/Linux" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Linux</span></a>: a lot of the current focus is on prevention and engineering: immutability, code signing, containerisation, surface reduction, etc.</p><p><a href="https://bne.social/tags/FOSS" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>FOSS</span></a> AV exists for Linux, <a href="https://bne.social/tags/ClamAV" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>ClamAV</span></a>, and even supports on-access scanning via fanotify. I think Clam is overlooked because it's not considered enterprise. My view is that AV is a small piece of the security picture if it's even needed at all.</p>
