Axiom the Doge
Here's the idea, using a 3-bay system:

My compost mainly consists of manure and straw from my rabbits

Wine Caps are typically grown in straw or wood chips, so they should be very happy in the first bay.

The almond mushrooms will be in the second bay where they can enjoy the partially composted straw and manure.

Then the compost will be moved to the third bay where it can age and allow the mycellium to die off before being used in the garden.

#composting #mushroomComposting

Michael / Chgowiz 🎲🎲
Garden update:

- Final seedling to planting is happening. I put 2 bell pepper plants into buckets. These look more healthy than the tomatoes did.

- The sad nasturtiums are liking the ground! They're not huge, but they're improved. 2 of them didn't make it but after how sad they looked from my greenhouse, I'm happy some survived!

- That compost pile is getting good - put some into the pepper buckets. Michael / Chgowiz 🎲🎲
Compost update - I built compost bins this spring out of repurposed pallets.

Since then, I've broken ALL the composting rules. I didn't lasagna, didn't worry about brown to green ratios. All my organic, yard, food waste went on the pile. (except meat).

It was about 9 cubic feet or so in size but since compressed. Today, I flipped it to the 2nd bin, so the 1st would be available

It's working better than expected!
