Oops! I accidentally deleted all the files I was using for Zokale development!! I managed to fully recover 98% of the lost files using file recovery software and backups. However, the remaining 2% could not be recovered, and the files for the two weeks or so for which no backups turned into stardust. Maybe he was feeling unwell and his attention span was reduced. This set the development of the Z4 back a bit. Well, I guess it'll work out somehow.

New Kílta word that's been on the TODO list a while: lavúsa /laˈβuːsa/ "hallucination" < lavúmo v.intr. "to dream." For English "hallucinate sth." an idiom with the instrumental is used,

Ha në lavúsa kwan inachin tátiën si rinko.
1SG TOP hallucination INST big dog ACC see-PFV
"I hallucinated a large dog."

G3: bakata bumuto ziwato kele iyu kino kulahe eto ola sapuna lamigo kize wa.
G2: bakata bumuti ziwati kele iyu kini kulahe eto ola sapunu lamigi kize.
Z4: kini kulahe iyu lamigi kize osu sapunu eto bumuti ziwati kelen bataka.

The current word for “microwave” is a compound word and is written as follows:

G3: zelekoyuyun‐
G2: zelekiyuyun‐
Z4: zeleki:yuyun‐

But six syllables is long. Maybe we should think of a new word that isn’t a compound word.

電子レンジ -> denshi renji -> deshi reji -> desilez‐

I guess that’s about it. However, this is difficult for people other than Japanese to understand intuitively. I’ll think about it a bit more before deciding whether to actually adopt it.

"Also I particularly like #Esperanto, not least because it is the creation of one man, not a philologist, and is therefore something like a 'human language bereft of the inconveniences due to too many successive cooks'--which is as good a description of the ideal artificial language (in a particular sense) as I can give."
