Last night after I came home from square dancing, Husband and I talked through our day outside, while sitting on his truck's tailgate. Once my eyes adjusted to the darkness I noticed blinking in the woods. It only took a second before I realized that I was seeing FIREFLIES!! Already! Usually they don't start until June/July. I thanked them for visiting, thanked Mother Nature for the gift, thanked Husband for no longer using lawn chemicals. Welcome, Summer. I've missed you. #CT

Participants Needed for Long COVID Clinical Trial
What we are investigating:
We are investigating the effects of a 12-week protocol of low-dose Sirolimus (rapamycin) compared to a placebo in adults with Long COVID.

Areyou eligible?
You need to:
1. Have a confirmed diagnosis of Long COVID and a documented positive COVID test
2. Be 18 years or older
3. Live inthe NYC area

What to expect if you pass the screening process:
1. There are five (5) required in-person study visits over a 6-month period.
2. This study involves in-person visits, blood draws, saliva
collection, and completion of online surveys.
3. You will receive the study drug or placebo for 12 weeks in an increasing dose.

I've just listened to an #ITSecurity presentation, which gave me a few more nightmares to worry about.

First, there is #Shodan , a search engine for the #Internet (as opposed to the World Wide Web), aka "how to find hackable things on the Internet". If you have any devices accessible via the Internet - such as security cameras - it can probably be found there. And there are numerous people and companies who leave these devices unsecured - as the presenter demonstrated.

Also, #USB cables exist which look like the real thing but contain secret WLAN access for hackers. They cost around $200 these days, and can only be distinguished from the real thing by #CT scans.
