Don't you just love this time of year.
There are several varieties of daffodil grown around here; whites, pale yellow, full yellows and even a multi petalled one - there's 5 kinds in this vase

The first yellow crocus has doubled up and the first daffodils are sort of open.

Love this #daffodil variety that has three small trumpets instead of one large one. They create sprays of #springtime.

Five small flowers that have six butter yellow petals and small ruffled orange cups at the center. All are close together but point in different directions. The orange cups contain three orange pollen-bearing structures. There is a slender green leaf visible starting at bottom center continuing behind one flower and through to the right outside of frame. The blurred background contains more of these flowers and green slender leaves.

Found another patch of daffodils on a different side of the house. There are lot more in this one and they're a lot taller. Supposed to get some heavy storms tomorrow, so we'll see if they survive.

And now for something completely different. Went to put the giant box from the new printer out in my shed and there were a few flowers that had popped up. A bunch of purple crocuses, a couple solo white crocuses, and some daffodils.

The angle of the setting sun made it tricky to get a good angle of them without also blocking the light.

Good #Monday morning, and a daffodil to everyone who needs one.

A bright, deep yellow daffodil is facing slightly down and to the right at center stage of this photo. This one is currently all by itself, with its handsome green stem and leaves, and perhaps another small clump off to the right in back (but with no blooms yet.)

Daffodils seem to have 6 bell-curve shaped petals around the outside, and then a pretty cup-shaped central area that is a good 1.5" out from the ring of petals. The cup is ruffled and the same pretty yellow.
