Donald Roy<p><span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://zirk.us/@ChrisMayLA6" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">@<span>ChrisMayLA6</span></a></span></p><p>The problem with most of what <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/darzi" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>darzi</span></a> proposes is that it is eminently sensible but profoundly unexciting - and offers little opportunity for <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/grift" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>grift</span></a> . <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/publichealth" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>publichealth</span></a> and <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/preventative" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>preventative</span></a> measures work well but do not attract support from influential people - unlike <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/digitisation" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>digitisation</span></a> which tis seen as a 'magic bullet' and has been so for at least a quarter of a century ! The temptation will be to throw effort and money into <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/digitisation" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>digitisation</span></a> and pay lip service at best to the other stuff.</p>
