SynAck the Employed! :facepalm:Had a very small <a href="https://corteximplant.com/tags/karate" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#karate</a> class tonight - just one other person. But since we've kept our Zoom feed going even after returning to in-person training, we had the option to train at home and save my student about an hour of drive time. If the weather is bad, someone is not feeling well enough to be in the <a href="https://corteximplant.com/tags/dojo" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#dojo</a> but still wants to train, doesn't have a ride, or has to travel out of town for some reason, they can still participate in class at some level.I was thinking that one of the best things to come out of the pandemic was the explosive growth of video connection. We had to learn how to do stuff that we previously did in person while being locked down in our homes. One of the things I had to learn was how to do <a href="https://corteximplant.com/tags/karate" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#karate</a> from home. It wasn't the best, but it allowed us to keep training, oftentimes with people from around the country and world that we wouldn't have been able to otherwise. I even got promoted during lockdown!As beneficial as hybrid activities were proven to be, I've been really surprised at how quick people were to drop the remote component from all those things once things opened back up. Why go back to the unconnected way things were before and miss out on all the benefits that we realized when we had no other choice?

I couldn't resist taking a picture of it, imagining the world of martial arts that lay beyond.
