Paco Hope #resist
So I was messing with #drupal in the #homelab and I wanted to turn on #SSO with #authentik.

Somehow I didn’t find the official drupal OIDC module, I found this other one. I installed it, got it configured, and the first time I tried to login, it said “whoops, you have to purchase this module to use it.” Fine. I like supporting software, what does it cost?

$250/year!? To LOG IN? F that.

One of its key selling points is how easy it is to configure. If I was configuring it often, maybe I could see that. But OIDC and SAML are the kinds of things you set up once per lifetime. Make it as hard as you want (many apps do!) I only have to get through it once.

I mean $10? Even as much as maybe $50 I might have paid once. But I refuse to pay annually for the ability to login.
#selfhosted

Does anyone I know have experience with a good solution? Dave Lane :flag_tino: 🇳🇿
Ok, so I'm (still) in the throes of upgrading my venerable #Drupal 7 blog to modern Drupal... I spent *ages* trying to get things working with Drupal 10 (note, I ran a Drupal dev shop for over a decade, so this *should* be easy-as. Heh)... It occurred to me, why go to D10 if D11 is now stable? Why not the new 'Drupal CMS' (based on D11) 🤔... So I've installed an instance with the aim of migrating my D7 to it... anybody else try this? Recommended? (I've already got a D10 theme...)

Kevin + Drupal + Beard
I just happened across the Edit UUID project, Mustafa Akbay's request to take over the project & the rejection. Kevin + Drupal + Beard
I had the luxury of time & resources to get involved w/o having to worry about paying my bills.

Not everyone has that luxury. Growing the #Drupal community requires empowering developers who may not have the time and resources to create a new sandbox module from scratch just to earn the “opt into security coverage” privilege.

I explored Drupal while supporting Howard Dean's presidential campaign w/ time + resources including fast internet connection & servers capable of running DeanSpace.
