First, the researcher will work with a multidisciplinary research team to develop a research grant proposal on cybersecurity in the context of e-government and open governance. Also, the researcher will conduct the Democracy Machine Project which aims to explore the use of information and communication technologies to make a policy decision-making process more participatory and collaborative. In addition, the researcher would participate in other research projects related to participatory democracy and open governance, including the Arkansas Civic Health Index Report, the Climate Public Engagement Project, and multiple citizens' assembly projects. Furthermore, the researcher will prepare institutional review board submissions and supervise graduate assistants for the research projects. The researcher is expected to develop at least two research grant proposals under the supervision of the principal investigator faculty. Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job function of this job, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.
