Imagining #Hexpansion Club... "For only £9.99/month, yes £9.99/month, we will send you an exciting new hexpansion - every month! Sometimes two or three if we have a few to get rid of... What will it be this month? A tiny plastic duck with glowing red eyes, or a miniature geiger counter to help you find any misplaced orphan sources? You'll never regret it as your house slowly fills up with weird hexagonal contraptions! For only £9.99/month!!" #EMFCamp #Tildagon

Reports are coming in about large scale #COVID infections from #WHY2025. Not even an outdoor camping festival can avoid being a superspreader event.

Tools like Afterparty 19 can be useful for tracking infections post-hoc if they're used by attendees. But that's going to be too late for a lot of people who perform knowledge work who are now at #LongCovid fatigue risk.

Future similar events need to review their policies and procedures to try and minimise the risk of the ongoing pandemic. With #EMFCamp spinning back up, is there a #COVID19 team working on monitoring, testing, ventilation etc.? I would love to volunteer my time and experience here, if it would be taken seriously by organisers.

@penguin42 @mcnewton I had two slightly terrifying thoughts over breakfast which I must infect people's brains with before I forget them...

1) Imagine retrocomputing as the ultimate hiding place to stash "low background" information for safety. Think Kiwix version of Wikipedia, Project Gutenberg etc...

2) Imagine a magical realist #EMFCamp centric version of the #DomesdayProject. The Bodgeham-on-Wye entry has extensive details of the hunt for the elusive #BodgehamBadger

Very sad that #why2025 is over. Had the best time hanging out with the most wonderful people (especially #emfcamp crew). Seeing all the cool creations that people bring with them is pretty incredible, but the absolute *best* bit is meeting the people themselves and asking them about their work ❤️

Anyone have any tips for a newbie attending #why2025 ?

I like electronics, physics, retro tech, maths, rope and things that are intentionally on fire. Not necessarily all together/in that order. If you're running/involved in/attending/bringing a cool thing that sounds like it might be for me, please let me know.

If you were in or around #emfcamp in 2022 or 2024, we may have met there, feel free to say hello

Been working on something for #EMFCamp
