Today I learned through this blog post that Firefox has:

- A ' binding that will search only links
- The ability to override websites which disable right click by holding Shift

To the last hidden gem I'd add @ to search for search engines (how meta)

kau.sh🦊 How to Firefox - Kaushik Gopal's WebsiteChrome finally pulled the trigger on the web’s best ad-blocker, uBlock Origin. Now that Chrome has hobbled uBO, Firefox—my beloved—1 is surging again. I want to do my part to convince you to switch to Firefox and show you how I use it.

I don't know what happened, but after installing a Firefox update on my Linux Mint laptop tonight, the top area of the browser is all a light gray, despite all my settings being set to dark mode.

It's really irritating me. #Firefox

Сейчас грохнул разом 340 висевших в #Firefox вкладок, но никакого изменения по оперативке не заметил.

Видать, он их действительно выгружает, а память жрет в себя...

Every firefox tab vanished from my browser today. I have a sync account believing my tabs would be backed up but I don't see anything on here to restore previous session, etc. It's happened once before a few years ago but I assumed they'd upgraded cos until now I haven't had any problems. I had literally hundreds of inactive tabs. The only consolation is that the tabs I saved to "groups" are all there, closed but there, like bookmarks. I like Firefox, but pissed right now! 🤬 🦊

Even though #ChromeOS is being devoured by Android, and $AAPL still anticompetitively hobbles #webkit, and #Firefox removed desktop PWAs, I still think the web is the future. The web is more capable than ever and everything that doesn't run on the web eventually will. It's just that this last mile of UI parity doesn't really matter. Typing URLs into a text box is fine. The web doesn't need to pretend to be something else!

i fucking hate how much #AI has crept into my life over the last 3 years

just the other day, i was browsing through a best buy with some friends and i saw a washing machine with built in AI! why?????? why does a washing machine need AI ?!?!?!?!?!?

it's in the government, social media, shopping sites, even in browsers i am fond of, like #kagi and #firefox

at this point, if i see almost anything online, i have a fear that it could have been made with AI :/

@itsfoss Their pay is so low, it was probably easy for FAANG to find rubes to fill their executive positions and slowly dismantle the company from the inside.

I might be hawking a conspiracy theory, but their behavior all but leads any critical thinker to the same conclusion..

While I love #Firefox (and #Thunderbird) and #Mozilla in general, their Executives are traitorous bastards that are bought and paid for by those who hate freedom and free software.
