I had a great idea... I may be Inspector Gadget this Halloween! I have a hat and a trenchcoat. I even have the haircut for it! Now all I need are the little arms that come out of the hat.

A broken mirror frame on clearance inspired me to make this bronze Gastly decoration. I look forward to hanging it up every October 
The Gastly is made of styrofoam and EVA foam. I was scared of weathering it, but the blue patina washes came out fantastic, despite the heavy-handed dry brushing afterward.
Since I made Haunter and Gastly projects, naturally I should do something with Gengar. But inspiration hasn't struck quite yet.

Finished! The shawl inspired by the old churchyard in Stirling is done. No posh yarn in this one but lots of surface work. Ended up more cosplay than everyday! Thinking abstract gravestones, lichen, dying leaves, rowan berries, hips, bindweed, spiders' webs and snail shells. One for next Halloween! As ever, no pattern.
